Victoria Monét Takes Frequency of Love on a 27-City North American Tour

Victoria Monet is preparing to bring her latest era directly from the studio into the spotlight. The Grammy-winning vocalist, songwriter, and producer has revealed the Frequency Of Love Tour, a 27-city North American headline trek that will lead to the release of her upcoming record, Frequency Of Love. Her long awaited presence in live performance as fans eagerly await her new music.

The tour will kick off October 27 in North Carolina at Raleigh’s Red Hat Amphitheater. It then advances through the United States and Canada until it wraps up December 17 in San Francisco at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. It mostly visits large markets including Charlotte, New Orleans Houston Dallas, Atlanta Philadelphia Boston, Detroit Chicago Toronto, New York Washington D.C. Nashville Phoenix, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Vancouver, and Seattle.

The timing of this tour is very significant in the middle of Mont’s career because the tour itself is heavily connected to her new album. Frequency of Love, which is set to be released on October 2 through Lovett Music and RCA Records, has given little time for audiences to become accustomed to, and like before, has only a few weeks before the live shows begin. This album comes after the Grammy Winning Jaguar II, and just this one album has been Mont’s first full-length album during this decade.

Curious fans have already been given a preview of this new project by Mont through previous singles such as “Reach Out” and “Let Me, ” and most recently she released “Juicy” when announcing the tour, both of which give insight into the direction the Frequency of Love project’s heading. The new work should bring new facets of love and growth to the table, while also more than likely sticking to the R&B routes Mont has become familiar with through her established sound.

The tour schedule is also set in a hectic period for the artist. Over summer, Mont toured abroad with Bruno Mars for the European and U.K. leg of his Romantic Tour, thrilling crowds in big cities such as Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Madrid, Milan, and London. Her stadium appearances were yet another chance for her to play to international crowds before her own headline shows.

Live performance has been significant in Mont’s effort to re-embody her music into a more physical form. Her earlier Jaguar Tour was a landmark series of events in her transition to a solo performer, with the early shows quickly selling out and some dates being moved to larger rooms. That context frames this new tour history as she is on the cusp of debuting an entirely different set.

Select tracks from Jaguar and her follow-up album, Jaguar II, cemented her unique blend of modern R&B with pop sensibilities coupled with subtle songwriting and her new record looks like it will take that musical universe even further.

The North American leg of the tour lasts almost two months, offering fans in the US and Canada more than a few chances to catch the singer in concert. Ticket and venue information are available via official ticketing sources, with scheduling and availability subject to change.
